In this lesson, you'll learn how to set up a new Vite project and configure it to use React with TypeScript.

Instructor: [0:01] In the folder where you want to keep your project, go ahead and create a new Vite project. We're going to use npm init vite@latest, and we're going to give it a name. We're going to call this one egghead serverless typescript. Once you run that command, it's going to give you some questions.

[0:19] The first thing we want to select is React. Then we're going to choose React TS for TypeScript. Once we're in there, we're going to move into this new folder, and we're going to run npm install. At this point, we've got a running project. We can test it by hitting npm run dev. That gives us localhost:3000. There it is, a running Vite project.
